Black Widow Spider

black widow spider

Just finished up the drawing about an hour ago.

Here are the final results. The artist within me is telling me that I’m done now.

In the beginning of this drawing, I had no idea where it was going. The legs of the spider were the most challenging. But quite exciting to create.

I’m not going to say what’s going on exactly. That’s for you to create within your imagination. There’s no one correct answer.

Imagine it as you want, we will all see something different within the image.

Depending on the person you’re. The image will interpret into something different.

The final image is a drawing of a black widow spider.

This spider is black everywhere except on its abdomen. A red hourglass is drawn on its stomach as if the spider is art itself.

It’s the most venous spider in North America. 15 times more deadly than the rattlesnake. Very few actually die from the bite. But it’s still very deadly.

They say spiders only attack if they’re attacked. They’re friendly animals, just a little scary looking. But then again if you zoomed in on a human, we’re kinda scary looking too.

The fear of spiders is just your imagination messing with you thinking into the future. That the spider will attack you, but in reality, it’s more scared of you than you’re scared of it. I learned a new word in the process of making this piece. “Arachnophobia”. Extreme fear of spiders.

The human compared to a spider is something like “Godzilla”. Hahahaha.

Most animals, bugs, creatures and so on. They’re all crazy looking and it looks like an artist created most of them. The detail in some animals is crazy as if someone sat down and painted everything on the skin of the animal.

When I look at the black widow spider, this is what I see.

A dark form of love.

The red represents some sort of love. The hourglass represents time.

A black widow spider is very, very loving it’s just that it’s looked at and judged to be “scary” looking.

When you mess with it, you’ll get bit. Just like when you’re in love with another human. Toxic love is still love, don’t confuse the two. Both will seduce you.

love and toxic love.

When people argue they still end up loving each other. Toxic love, but still some sort of love. It messes with your brain, making the decisions difficult. The individual will know if love is within their heart or not.

The bite is the venom, turning into arguments/problems that are in the relationship. Still some sort of love, but toxic love. Not certain on how to handle a situation.

The hourglass represents endless time.
The red represents love.
The venom represents the toxins within the relationship.

This is a spider of dark, toxic love, that tries it’s best but fails every time. No one sees the real beauty in it. Just venom and evil.

Within this creature shines true, pure love, it’s just hiding behind the evil scary looking outside.

This is just my thoughts about this animal, nothing I said was correct. Just my imagination talking to me.

Interpret the picture as you please.

Appreciate everyone for following my art, have a great night!

Don’t let the bed bugs bite.

A black widow spider might get you at night.

  1. Hehehe…I had guessed the spider along with its proper name quite early. Perhaps when first colors were added. The red colour just gives away the answer. I think you should have stopped to click in between drawing much earlier , you know like before it had taken a shape…. However, I just love it. Great art piece. Keep it up bro. 💕❤👍👏👌😀😊

  2. I just love your interpretation of the hourglass and red color. The beauty of this creature is veiled under venom just like the heated arguments and misunderstandings cover the underlying pure, true love.

    • Thanks for reacting to my thoughts. Most don’t, which is fine. It’s just my crazy philosophical mind.

If you really think about it, why an hour glass and why the color red. Hahahah.

I ask why to everything. But seriously it could have been an other shape in the world and any color.

Yes, you understood. Some people are this black widow. Deep down within there’s true emotions hiding somewhere.

Much love and happiness to you and your family.

      Happy holidays. 🙂

      • Yes. It could have been any shape or color. But, you know, I feel that everything is the way it is for a reason. The day we come to know the answer of why, we will learn the secret behind our existence. Till now, it’s just hidden as Almighty’s forbidden secret.
        Merry Christmas!!! 😙🎄🎄🎀🎁🎂🎉🎊🎶🎼🌹

      • I believe the same thing. A reason for each thing and person.

Love the way you worded that, hahahaha.

It’s hidden within places we will never be able to see, or adventure to. Very few know all the crazy stuff. Everything is a secret, hahaha.

We can all create ideas and make those into theories but not everyone will believe everything the same. Everything is technically a theory. Even are existence, it’s just a thought that we’re here. I’m just rambling now.

        Thanks! 🙂

        Merry Christmas to you too!

  3. I am afraid of spiders. Very unlogical, I know, esp since in my country spiders are not poisoineous. And I am not afraid they will attack me or bite me. I am scared by their sticky webs. You walk somewhere and then suddenly there is that sticky web in your face and over your hair. And you know somewhere on that is the spider with the cross on its back and the green slimy stuff in it. In panick you try to get rid of the threads of the web, hoping the spider will not by accident being pulverised on your skin. That is my fear of spiders

  6. I like your analogy of toxic love. I think the female kills it’s mate after sex. Could be wrong. The red and the hourglass are fascinating, aren’t they? Human love is full of inconsistencies and a lot of selfishness. Toxic love can just about kill you. I guess sometimes it does.
I think I have learned the best love is when you let the other person be themselves. I’ve wanted my husband and I to have more in common. You know, just stuff to do together. But we are opposites in personality and interests. When I decided to just accept that, I’ve been happier. You can’t fit anyone into your own mold.

    • Thanks, came to thought at the moment.
That could be a possibility, a lot of animals do that. Hahaha.

Yes very interesting, can agree with you on that one. People often forget to love but never forget how to hate.

Yeah that’s what I would think, some suffer with toxic love because it’s better than no love. My thoughts are this.

I’m not sure if I’ll even meet anyone in this life, because it’s already enough energy to love yourself and at the end of life. I rather work on loving myself then loving another without even knowing who I’m within.

Need to love myself fully before anyone else, will most likely take a life time.

Not saying I don’t know what love is, it’s just most confuse the word. It’s a powerful word just like “hate”. When you ask a person of their defenition of love, most have no idea what to say and are in a slur of words.

Yes, I agree with you on that, or you’re changing the originality of that person. Unless it’s a bad thing they shouldn’t be doing, hahaha.

They say opposites attrac, positive and negative. It’s the differences that bring you together. The similarities distant you. Adventure in both lives, experience things both like to do. Then you’ll learn new things.

Yes no one will ever fit your mold, there is no one correct mold. Just be you.

Appreciate the thoughts and comment. Nice talk. 🙂

      Have a beautiful day! 🙂

  7. bellissimo!

  9. For some reason I can’t leave a “like” as WordPress is playing silly so-and-so’s. But I would have commented anyway – I LOVE spiders! I co-existed with huge wolf and huntsman spiders when I lived in a rural area in Queensland, Australia. They are shy and timid but do a great job keeping down the mozzie and insect populations. A spider is my totem. So I absolutely adore your image, it’s brilliant. And I enjoyed your writing about how you feel in relation to the image. Good stuff, mate!
