More color added, to be continuted…

Been pulling all-nighters often, was up till 1 am coloring this last night. Have colored for quite a bit today. Was waiting a little bit longer into the night till I took a picture.

This is the progress as of right now. You know I’m in the “zone” when the time is forgotten and the flow is found. When this happens, drawing feels like no other. We’ll see how late I will color tonight.

Hard to explain the feeling drawing gives me, it’s my true love. That’s what I can say, hahaha.

Taking my time with this, the detail is the main concern. Enjoying the colors I’m using. Going a little crazy, not used to working so small and detailed like this. Said this to myself before this drawing. “I want to challenge myself, there’s no reason why I can’t accomplish anything.”

To actually think about that it makes total sense. There’s is no reason why can’t run away from what I love. Through challenges and things, I’m not used to. That’s where I learn and improve.

The drawing muscle is built. Then you can keep challenging yourself a little more and more each time. Over time you can accomplish anything, as long as you don’t give up.

Each drawing is a new sort of lesson. This one is teaching me a lot so far, having a lot of fun with it. Totally am feeling this drawing right now. Hopefully, it turns out the way I’m imagining.

What does everyone see? The colors are crazy on this one.

    • That’s a common guess at the moment.

      When looking at this image I can see the owls eyes and a facial structure of some sort.

      Who knows, it could be anything.

      We’ll have to wait and find out.

      Sometimes that happens a drawing turns into another. Like a hypnosis.

  9. absolutely wonderful work Brandon … i ‘m so glad to see beyond this sketch , today it’s a very revelative step to me ….i mean as interested in your technics, it seems ON GOOD LEVEL sustained by the regularity of your publications, i’m impressed by your speed to produce , depending on your inspiration and fun … i felt that in your comments about this step .. thought you were teasing us and confirming by opening so many tracks …
    THIS one is tricky ..
    i can see The arlequin on the bottom right, beautiful , he looks so inspired by his work , … he’s very patient and accurate …he’s bending light and sending flashes of lumen by his eyes hahaha HE probably knows he’s not here to stay … lol !
    Anyway you give us a better vision of the different steps and interconnected phases used to build your work , so i think i ‘ve learnt some now…
    i love this charming apparition which could still be a lot of creatures at this time , i can trust you , just , please don’t make her been eaten by a crocodile or something … lol
    i can see a sweet doe …from her back …maybe eating some bushes on upper right ..?

      Appreciate your thoughts towards my work. Yes, the style I use takes quite a long time. To figure each color combination is similar to a math equation.

      Yes I never give the answer away. Only give hints, act as if I’m a viewer myself. I have no idea, literally won’t know till I’m done. Hahaha 😉 can’t tell the future.

      Looked “arlequin” up it’s a guy with a sword or something.

      Yes it could be anything or any creature. Hahaha maybe or maybe not eaten like a crocodile.

        Yes, the extra money would be great. The plan is to do this full time one day. I work part time and then do everything I’m doing here. Plus have other things in my life as well. Step by step.

        i am an entrepreneur and can be a no brainer when i feel it profitable in some way … means reason to buy art are multiple and deeply personal , out of reasonable thinking because based upon emotions . anyway we need to accept mutual conditions .

      Yes lots and lots and lots, hahaha. Time is the most valuable thing we have.

      I use prismacolor pencils. My technique is self taught, if that makes sense. Just learned from playing around with art utensils, now it’s a serious idea for me.

      Hard for me to “learn” rather do my own thing.

      This one is 18×24 inches. Most of the drawings I’ve posted are the same size. Some just vary in length.

  22. I love what I’m experiencing here. I dip in to see what I see (and feel) and I’m not able to verbalize much. I get, “There’s a multiplicity” and do not quite know what I am talking about.

    To me, that’s an exciting signal that something new is burbling up into consciousness, and with a little time I’ll find out what it is. Thank you! Always amazing to me what artists of all kinds bring to people.
