Sunday Drawing Update.

I’ve been coloring this for the past few hours. As we narrow down to fewer shapes. Deciding what colors to use is a bit easier you can say. Still challenging, not attempting to stress it.

Similar to how I always say. You just have to take it easy and continue on. Eventually one moment you’ll reach the “end” or where you wish to be. It will just take time.

I thought of this weird thought I shouldn’t be thinking about while drawing. Because we’re drawing and simply not working. Having fun is the main intention of the process.

Okay, so if you look at this drawing. It’s as if this drawing is a race of some sort. At one point there was nothing but a blank sheet. Now a sketch of something. Color has been added as well.

As I’m coloring this I imagine an overview of a race or pathway. When I color the “last” shape. Technically the drawing is “finished.” Passed the finish line.

Similar to a race and once the last piece is colored in the race is over. This is quite an awful way to look at it. The complete opposite thoughts should be happening in my mind.

In my perspective, the race within the art can never be “finished.” There’s is no last piece to add. You can have an endless piece of art or pathway. It never ends, we only think it does.

It would be ridiculous to do that though. Create a piece of art forever and never stop. Art will drive you crazy if you don’t put the pencil or colors down. Enough has to be enough sometimes.

This drawing is comparable to life.

Life keeps on going and is very rushed. All you have to do is pick yourself up when the negative moments occur. Make sure to relax and to not to overwork yourself too much. Keep a smile on your face and just be happy. Same with the process of creating art.

Don’t “make” or “force” anything. Just let it happen.

I can use my art in comparison to mostly anything. This is an example I thought of.

  1. Bhe la vita è una serie di tasselli colorati, come questo disegno.
Mi incuriosisce molto il colore giallo, quei sprazzi centrali, il fatto che tu lo stia colorando ora dall’alto…e con il giallo.

    • Very true, I can agree with you on that. That’s the intention of my art.

I’m quite crazy and I feel as if I have ADHD. I’m always all over the place when I draw. Or squirming my leg or something, hahaha.
