First colors added to the sketch. (Check it out!)

DSC_0649

Took a break from coloring this and went to go eat. Here’s the progress of the drawing at the moment.

On Monday I colored for a little bit. Most of the day was used to finish up the final sketch. I Posted the final sketch and jumped right into the colors.

To decide what colored pencil to apply first to the paper is similar to life or death, hahaha.

The ease and flow of the drawing take a while. Over time the frequency of the drawing is found. After you have connected with the drawing you become the drawing itself.

The art will start to flow right out of you. It’s similar to when you’re writing and your hands want to type or write faster than capable.

Countless creative and crazy thoughts you can’t express them in such a short moment.

I “see” the future of the art but have to ease myself and not rush the drawing. When rushing unintentional mistakes will happen.

One color at a time and not 5. Or I’ll confuse the mind.

I need some octopus arms to color faster. Maybe I can work on two drawings at one time, hahaha.

You just have to let the art create itself. You don’t really create the art in the end. Someone else does. Who this someone is, happens to be whatever is within thyself.

As I say this I mean there’s a “higher self.” This “higher self” tells me to create. So I guess the intuition is what I speak without sounding crazy or delusional.

The mind and universe connect. The “Higher self” will know what is correct within each moment of time. Not the ego.

Don’t force this life, but just let it be and it will all happen. When you force the processes you’ll definitely crash and burn.

To be or to be in control.

The choice is yours.

When all I do is be and let my life happen. The art and words are produced. All of this is by accident and I don’t think of anything till within the moment.

Life is created by many little accidents creating one big picture in the end.

Art.

  1. A philosopher and artist! The advice you gave is solid. As much as you want to rush things to see the final result, don’t. Not in your line of art. A writer can always rewrite, delete, enhance. The art of paint and color is a one shot deal…you can’t repaint. You do an excellent job!

    • Thank you! 🙂

Great way of explain it. I also agree with you.

These words just come to me when I write the posts. Nothing is intentional. If you over think you create anxiety. The “now” is the best time to live in.

Happy you like the drawing so far. 🙂

      Okay, listening.

I use nothing but a pencil. I’m against using rules or straight edges. Feels better to say it’s organic and free hand. Plus it adds more of a challenge. At times I draw the lines all over and have my moments where my eyes go crazy hahaha. I have to take a break and breathe. All the shapes are overwhelming at times. One shape at a time.

Just need a positive mind set. You can’t give up and belive anything I possible.

      • Wow, truly remarkable! That’s crazy. My eyes would hurt from just looking at it for too long! I think it’s great that you’re doing that because it is definitely a huge challenge, and completing a challenge as big as that must feel amazing upon completion!

      • Thank you, hahaha. 🙂

Have to take moments to re focus.

Yes and no. It’s hard to explain. I feel as if I’m always uncertain about my art. I see it all the time so I never know what to think, if you understand.

        I appreciate the positive energy!

Yes, very relaxing. Can’t overwhelm myself and the colors are easier to decide. I’m always mixing and matching my colored pencils. I probably create colors that I don’t have already. I think I might have explained this to you. Don’t exactly remember.

You can do anything your heart desires, hahaha. 🙂

I appreciate the positivity and love.

      Happy you like it.

  4. This is so pretty. On my forth class we were asked to draw blindly never looking at our paper I pray I can learn to draw again so I can take my art to the next level as well. Keep up the wonderful work!
