Octopus

Finished up the drawing about an hour ago. I Always clean the image before spraying it. When doing that I check the paper for pencil shavings from the colors and fill in white areas that are easily noticeable.

Whenever a piece is done, I look at it and think it’s never done. Something can always be added or messed with.

I have to stop myself or I would work on one single piece my whole life, hahahaha.

You never know when you’re really done, I guess you’re done when your guts say. “Okay, I think we’re done here now.” hahahaha.

Throughout the process of drawing this, there were endless guesses. Like always, the guesses ranged from, the image I was thinking, things I never thought to be in the image and many more ideas. It’s always enjoyable and interesting when people look at my art.

Sometimes people see things that I never knew were in my art, and it’s just there. It just takes time for my mind to process others ideas and images. I don’t always see what everyone else sees. I try my best to use my imagination and see what the viewers see

I guess anything could be in my art. When there’s no color, the range of ideas is infinite throughout the mind. With color as, well, anything could be in the image too.

It’s all about what the viewer decides to see. They say what you see defines your emotions in a way. How you’re feeling at the moment.

Everyone will see the same exact image, but not necessarily. Depending on the individual the image will be transferred differently. Seeing the same image but in the end, we’ll all look at it differently creating a new story for each one of us.

Let your imagination take over and create a picture for you to see. Don’t hold on, let it be free. Think no thoughts and just focus on the colors and shapes to create a final image.

In this image, I see a colorful octopus.

When looking at this drawing the meaning of it will be different for everyone.

My first thought is freedom or a free-spirited soul. All the colors represent the journey happing within the octopus, crazy looking to most but happy and full of colors being the emotions on the inside. Feeling all emotion that can be felt. From the worst emotions to the best emotions. Every feeling that is possible. Notice how I say that this is the inside of the octopus. It’s the inside that only matters. Each person is like this octopus. All revealing different colors and such. Never to really show, but it’s all within. Being the emotions, creating each individual.

This octopus is on a mission and nothing is in its way, the colors also represent the strength and vitality of the spirit of the octopus.

Like I said before what you see is how you feel emotionally.

Each drawing in a way. After I complete it, I’m the drawing. I feel what the image looks like. The colors represent how I feel at the moment.

I feel like a colorful octopus on a mission and nothings stopping me. I’m riding on a wave at a certain frequency enjoying this journey of life day by day. For each day to bring new endeavors. All challenges accepted to create thyself into the greatest version that’s out there.

Life itself and the experiences you create are the greatest teachers that are out there. Learn and mess up, both are needed. Life’s not a clean and simple paved road, there will be many twists and turns.

Just never lose your balance or frequency, kinda like riding a bike and in the end, everything will be okay. Follow your gut and heart.

I’m this octopus and so are you, it’s just that we will all interpret It differently.

I shared my story. What’s your story? What do you see in this image? There’s no right or wrong, share as you please.

Color update (soon to be finished)

Here’s how far I’m at the moment, worked on this for a few hours last night. Late into the night, it seems that I have more of a spark of imagination at night. When I’m supposed to be sleeping and in dreamland, I feel the most creative.

If sleep wasn’t important I would sacrifice a lot of sleep for art time. But If I don’t sleep a certain amount of hours I feel sluggish all day. Not working to my full potential. It’s in the small, focused intense moments where you build yourself. Not all the sloppy fast moments when you’re trying to hurry and finish something. Similar to try to run in front of a person in a race.

We’re all moving at a different pace/ frequency, move at what pace is comfortable for you. To move very fast without thought most likely you’ll go down the wrong path and become frustrated. The race never ends. Remember to take time to breathe

Remember how I said, sometimes I get in the ‘Zone”. This is the best analogy for me to explain. The race, we’re all running at different paces. Don’t try to be first or last. Just become what is within you. The greatest you.

When drawing I “warm up” for the short race. A mental warm up. Coloring in the shapes is jogging for me. Find a pace to follow on, be steady and you’ll conquer and destroy. I reached the “artist high” or “runners high” when coloring this time again. It’s probably the best sensation I can ever feel. This feeling is a feeling of bliss. The pencils move without thought, they just do. In such concentration.

Whenever this happens, it feels as if the colored pencils, take control of me. My fascination with colors is so intense, I get this childlike feeling when I have colors in my hand. I always appreciate these moments with intense love and gratitude. Only if this could happen every time. Trying to train my body to do this more often, if you understand what I’m saying.

With the colors that have been added, what do you see in the picture revealed in front of your eyes? Remember folks, anything is possible. Don’t have the colors throw you off. The imagination is infinite and so are you.

Crazy color combination.

colors

When making art, you can’t think about real-life scenarios or anything in general. Besides art, If you think about anything else, you won’t enjoy making the art as much as you can.

I try to get in the “zone” that’s what I call it. It’s as if something is controlling me when I draw. It’s similar to a runners high.

I draw and it doesn’t stop, continuous until my hand cramps and I take a break. Fighting the cramps sometimes to finish the last pieces. A battle against the paper and the mind, hahaha. Only do I wish I could draw nonstop, sometimes it takes a lot of energy to motivate yourself.

Making art is a lot harder than people think, sure it might not make your hands dirty unless you’re using paint, hahaha. But the mind is worked out to the max.

I feel as if I get mind headaches from my art sometimes, it’s a lot to process. All the different colors and shapes.

An example you can see, I get bored in one area and end up all over the place on the drawing. Then there are times I’m slow and steady and stay in one area, it depends on the way I’m feeling that day.

I Always do my best to feel tension free when drawing. Don’t drag your hand across the paper, be light weighted.

With all the crazy colors you see, what’s in the image before your eyes?

Minor color update

23667165_1869611609761187_1564589047_n

Not the greatest update, but it’s something. Been quite busy this week. Sorry for the lame excuse, haha.

A few new colors added to the image to ponder the mind.

When making a color or deciding what color to use. It takes quite a long time, a slower process than sketching it.

Sketches are easier and go with a flow. When I sketch I’m going and going and sketching.

But when I color I’m pausing and looking at the drawing every few seconds. To figure out if the color I want to use is “correct” in my eyes. Or maybe to use a different color.

Didn’t spend as much time as I wanted to this week on the drawing, but I got a decent amount.

I want to enjoy the process or I don’t even feel like making art. To force it and make it a duty of some sort. That just makes no sense to me. Not every single moment of life I want to create, but I wish I could.

It’s in the moments where I have the most inspiration that I can’t draw, it always works like that with everything, hahaha.

When you want to do something you can’t. But when trying to do something you don’t even have the energy to attempt. It’s all sucked out of you.

If you learn how to mess and play around with your mind you can try your best to fight the resistance in a fun way. Don’t force anything or your true potential won’t shine. Just let it happen.

With the little update I have here, what do you see in the image?

Remember the answer is not given until the end, only little hints. Sorry if my hints are not the best, I try to give riddles and puns. Or tell you if I see what you see. It’s a weird way, but fun way for me to join the process.

It might be confusing to some at times. I act as if I’m not the artist and just a viewer myself.

Living in my everyday life, I don’t even feel like an artist or anything. I look in the mirror and just see a person standing there.

Just like everyone else. The same, all just a person. Living and breathing and that’s it, nothing else. Everyone is the same to me no matter the situation. We’re all one to me, no one is worth less than me or more. Just the same as everyone else. I look around and see a bunch of different version of “me”

Just had this thought at the moment of writing this, thought I would share it.

Thank you.

Vibrant and bright colors. (Color added to sketch.)

Here’s how far I got tonight. Not feeling the best, have a cold. But that’s not an excuse.

It’s making me lag in progress, but progress is progress. The hours add up.

The colors in this drawing are a little crazy as you can see. Very vibrant and bright. eye-popping.

Don’t have the colors confuse you, remember the imagination. Any color combination is possible. I don’t have to follow the rules and make the image the correct colors.

That’s the freedom of art. You can do whatever you want with zero rules.

Observe the colors and shapes. Squint your eyes. Turn your head sideways, whatever you have to do. To look at it.

As of right now, what do you see in the image?

Take your time and don’t rush it, anything could be here.

Thank you.

Finished sketch.

23574330_1860588480663500_1264253311_n

Here’s the finished drawing. I’ve had it sketched out for a few days now. Also have a little color added in too. Took a picture before I added color.

Been lazy about posting the past few weeks or so. Sorry about that, have real life things to work on besides art. The dream is to work on art full time one day. Yes i wish for it tomorrow, but there’s no rush.

You never force the art or anything in general. It all just happens, let it happen without doing it and see what the result becomes. At moments you surprise yourself on what you can achieve. All you have to do is believe in yourself.

There’s the saying it’s all about the journey and not the end result. In the struggles and moments of creating yourself is the fun part. Don’t rush the “Success” but just let it happen.

It will all happen at the correct time, just be patient and trust the process. If you don’t trust or believe anything the negative energy might consume you. Do your best to not do that.

With what I have sketched out, what do you see in the Image?

The guesses vary from all over the place every time. It’s interesting to hear what people see and think of my art. Good luck guessing everyone. I’ll give little hints and such, but not the actual answer.

Thank you.

Progress on sketch

oct

I thought here would be a good stopping point to take a picture. Not completely done, but almost done.

There’s a little more I need to add before it’s done. I’d guess an hour or so left. Usually don’t pay attention to the time. On Monday I fit in 3 extra hours.

I sat down, forgot to look at the time and noticed I had to go eat something and sleep. If I had no schedule, I would just stay up every night and create.

Random drawing for an hour or two adds up over time. If you’re working on something and have a long time to work on it. Break it up into different days. I never have a set date to finish my art. Just make sure to work enough on it each week.

In the creative procces there’s no rush, take your time and create.

As of right now, what do you see in the Image?

Start of new drawing.

oct

Worked on this for 3-4 hours on Friday night. Was going to post it that night, but it got too late.

The idea of this drawing is a little weird, someone gave me a very creative idea for a drawing.

As of right now I’d say 2/5 of this is sketched.

If you look closely at the detail maybe you’ll be able to make a picture in your mind.

Whenever I start a drawing I never know where to start. I pick a main area of the image.

This might be a quicker drawing, but I’m not sure. I plan on using some crazy colors. Going to hurt my mind with this one.

Wishing myself luck. Thank you, self, hahaha. Sometimes talking to yourself is the craziest but best answer.

What do you see in this image?

Thank you.

Zebra

Finished the drawing last night.

Never really know what to say or explain after a drawing. I’ll do my best to explain this one.

At the beginning of creating this piece of art, like always, you never know what the final product will look like. You can have ideas and use your imagination.

But however, if you give up on something, nothing will be achieved. This drawing was quite fun to create in the process.

Before making a drawing I have no idea, or plan to what’s next to create. It kinda happens in the moment. I look through pictures and focus on certain things.

Looked through 100’s of pictures and usually there’s one that catches my eye.

This one caught my eye and I sketched this one. It’s as if the drawing lured me in and I didn’t choose the drawing. This life happens to you and everything is aligned in a way.

When using certain colors you feel certain emotions and in that moment of creating whatever piece you’re making. You feel those colors.

The colors in this drawing were calm and stress relieving. Feel a lot more relaxed and stress free after creating this, you get a beautiful feeling after creating a piece of artwork.

It sets you free in a way.

When creating art it’s similar to life being created, hahaha.

A way to explain my thoughts.

Hope you can enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Look at it and observe as you choose. The imagination creates and defines what you see. Also who you’re. We’ll all see something different.

This is a drawing of a zebra.

The guesses through the process of making this were all over the place like usual.

I enjoy confusing the audience at times, it makes you use your own ideas and imagination. Instead of me giving you the answer to my work, step back and look at it. Create your own ideas and thoughts, my ideas are neither correct or incorrect.

Enjoy the drawing as you please. Interpret the drawing into your own reality.

Everyone have a beautiful day!

21442168_1747118305343852_1474433509_nThe complete and finished drawing.

Using this color scheme was a little different than what I’m used to. It was a little challenging using darker colors. Most of the tones are very similar or almost alike.

I only used a few colored pencils on this whole drawing. When I create the tone I just add white. I’ll try my best to explain. Lets say a “shape” is dark, ill grab what pencil I think is correct. Then add the amount of darkness I think is needed. Apply white over the dark area. Then add the darker color again. etc..

layer on layers.

Keep doing this till I’m satisfied with the results. Moving on to the next shape. one by one. A slow but steady process.

If the “shape” needs to be dull or light I add a tint of dark pencil and mostly white.

It’s similar to mixing paints in a way. Just using pencils. hopefully I did a good job of explaining that.

There were many guesses throughout the process of creating this, ranging from all over the place. If I could go through all the comments and gather them up, i bet you would imagine most of them in your head too. The fact you can see something means you’re using your imagination.

As always I never give away what’s going on in the drawing that’s for you to create in your mind. You create the story, all I do is create the picture. It takes nothing but a picture to think a thousand words. speechless but not.

This is a drawing of a Lion. I used black, gray and white colored pencils to create this. Interpret the picture as you imagine.
