I like the prominence of the sun because that was what Stonehenge was all about, I think.:0) I guess no one knows for sure but the solstice and equinox were very important back then. They still are but most of us ignore it. I live near Chaco Canyon which is a settlement built as an observatory. If you haven’t read about it you should and it is an amazing place to visit. It would be wonderful to spend time there and paint. Also, my hometown is very ancient indeed as the first inhabitants were the Anasazi. I don’t think people Lived at Chaco as they did in Aztec but used it as a place of worship. “All roads lead to Chaco” from all the ancient sites that surround it. I think the stone age was more advanced than we have traditionally believed it to be. Nice painting and I love how you’ve broken images down to shapes. They tell a deeper story. You have an interesting way of ‘seeing’.

I’ll have to check that out. I love sight seeing. Maybe one day I can visit there. It’s a drawing by the way. Haha. Thanks it’s a style I picked up it really caught my and after that I was stuck haha. Art is my drug

When I was younger…a lot younger:0)…I used to do quick water rough raw water colors and then use colored pens to trace around all the ‘mistakes’. Your shapes are much more controlled while my finished product was more static and emotional but in a way it had the same effect. It is interesting to shatter an image. I rarely draw or paint now. I paint with words.:0)

I kind of just add the colors as I go. Whatever comes to mind I just know. I look at the colored pencil and I know what color is next.

I think it’s a great idea, you can open a store on etsy. I loved the Hendrix, but you would need permission to use his image.
